About this collectible

Complete original UK cinema publicity group produced for Disney’s 1990 50th Anniversary theatrical re-release of Fantasia. The set comprises the large illustrated presentation folder, original press-information material and six different black-and-white publicity stills.

The striking presentation folder features Sorcerer Mickey and Chernabog, while the stapled Fantasia 50th Anniversary press material contains production information, credits and background to the film. The six publicity stills feature memorable sequences and characters including Sorcerer Mickey, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, the dancing mushrooms and Dance of the Hours.

The folder carries contemporary UK publicity details for Warner Bros. Distributors Ltd., 135 Wardour Street, London, confirming its theatrical distribution origins.

Genuine original cinema publicity material produced specifically for the 50th Anniversary campaign, rather than commercially available Disney merchandise. The presentation folder shows noticeable handling and storage wear, including creasing and some edge/corner damage, while the press material and photographic stills have survived in substantially cleaner condition.

An attractive and unusually complete surviving Disney cinema press group from the landmark 1990 re-release of Fantasia.

Approx. Dimensions:

Folder 31x22 cm when closed
Stills 20x25 cm
